The work of long-distance drivers is characterized by stability and a guarantee of long-term work. After all, it will always be necessary to transport cargo. Therefore, employees in this field are constantly needed, as businesses expand, the need for employees also increases, in addition, some employees retire, naturally more new drivers are needed. So working with a tractor is a demanding and stable job.
Working abroad is often chosen because of the higher salary. It’s no secret that truck drivers in foreign countries, such as Germany, Norway or elsewhere in Europe, also earn a little more than in Lithuania. Although the drivers employed by our company work under Lithuanian employment contracts, it is natural that we have to offer a competitive salary, taking into account the country in which you will be working.
Of course, in addition to practical aspects such as a good salary, job stability, one can also mention a specific work schedule, which is a plus for many long-haul drivers. Often, truck drivers work in shifts such as 6 weeks on and 3 weeks off or 8 weeks on and 4 weeks off. Such a work schedule, depending on the family situation and the driver’s wishes, allows you to better plan your time and, for example, spend more quality time at home with your family, have a longer period of free time to travel, engage in your favorite activities, etc.
